Mac D’Alessandro makes it official, will challenge Lynch for Congressional seat
Today (05.05.10) Mac D’Alessandro of Milton announced he is in the running for U.S. Congress from Massachusetts’ 9th district.
Mr. D’Allessandro has collected 5,000 signatures from registered Democrats and unenrolled voters in the two weeks leading up to yesterday’s May 4 deadline for submitting signatures to city and town clerks’ offices. That gives him a very comfortable cushion.

Annual Town Meeting 2010: Day 2 – The wind turbine & eminent domain
Milton wants to build a wind turbine and last night Town Meeting approved article 44 which allows the Board of Selectmen to use eminent domain to acquire access to the town land where the turbine is to be constructed. The principal issue is use of the access road which leads from Randolph Avenue to the construction site. Quarry Hills, owners of the Granite Links golf course, have chained it off to town officials and employees. Quarry Hills has signaled their intent to oppose the construction.
