In a 4-2 vote Milton’s Conservation Commission denied a site development permit for the Hendries property last Tuesday night. The principal reason for denying the permit was a failure to satisfy the Commission’s desire for open space.
The public is invited to learn more about of Milton Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition at their next meeting on Wednesday, May 27th at 7:00pm. The meeting is sponsored by the Milton Public Health Department and will take place at the Negroni Education Center at Beth Israel Deaconess Milton Hospital.

On Thursday, October 22, 2015, the 11th annual Literary Gala, “Where Stories Begin,” will be held at Lombardo’s, 6 Billings Road, Randolph, MA, benefiting the Milton Public Library. The gala is hosted by the Milton Library Foundation and chaired by President-Elect Stacey Cornforth. The keynote speaker will be noted author Alice Hoffman. Currently playing at Riverside Theatre Works in Hyde Park is a spectacular production of “Les Miserables” the sung-through musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel by the same name. The musical “Les Miserables” is one of the longest-running and most beloved theatrical events, and the current production upholds that popularity.
