COA candidates’ debate a tame affair except. . .

Most of the candidates for town wide office appeared for the third and final forum of the campaign season yesterday morning at the Council on Aging. The Council on Aging debate is unique in that the questions for the candidates come from the audience, which makes it interesting especially when Gene Irwin asks a question or three.

Whiteside, Hamilton and the future of the Planning Board

In 1986 Alex Whiteside was elected to the Milton Planning Board. He is up for re-election. He has run for re-election 5 times in the last 27 years and, according to Town Reports, never been opposed – until now. And that is not the half of it.

MATV broadcast schedule for 2013 candidate forums etc

Milton Access Television taped two recent candidate forums. One, the Milton Speaks Candidates night, took place at their studio. The other, the 2013 Milton Matters Candidates Forum took place last Tuesday at Fuller Village. Both are being rebroadcast. Reminder: April 10 is deadline to register to vote

The LAST DATE TO REGISTER FOR THE ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION AND SPECIAL STATE PRIMARY is Wednesday, April 10, 2013. The Office of the Town Clerk will host a registration session on this date and will be open from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. You may register in person or by mail. To register to vote in person, you must appear and register at the Town Clerk’s Office by 8:00 p.m. on the last day to register.
