A killer cookie company that got its start in Milton is the first firm to file as a benefit corporation. This came about as a provision that Senator Joyce added to a recent jobs bill. About the provision Joyce recently stated, “The benefit corporation designation is a cost-free tool that will promote economic development and bring considerable social and environmental improvements to the Commonwealth.” The Herald reports the story here.
