Bennett has always been very active in the Milton community, serving as a coach for Milton Little League Baseball for six years as well as giving his time as a Milton Youth Hockey coach. In addition, he is a member of the St. Agatha’s Parish Pastoral Council and serves as a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Baptismal Preparation team.

When asked why he chose to run for this position, Bennett responded, “The Assessor’s office has been doing a great job for many years. Retiring member Tom Gunning has served this community admirably during his tenure, and I hope that I can work as hard with the other members of the Board to continue making Milton the second-best town in America. I feel my experience gives me an opportunity to utilize technological advances to help property owners understand the abatement process more thoroughly. I’m also confident that I can serve as a qualified member of the Board of Assessors to work with them to provide citizens with more detailed information concerning the deferment and exemption process as it pertains to their individual situations.”
