Tomorrow is a big day for local politicians and the Commonwealth. Two races of keen interest to Milton are that for Governor and State Senate for Norfolk, Bristol, and Plymouth counties. Incumbent Governor Deval Patrick is being challenged by Republican Charlie Baker, Green Party candidate Jill Stein, and independent Tim Cahill. State Senator Joyce is being challenged by Canton Selectman Bob Burr. There are also three ballot questions. They are:
- Sales Tax on Alcoholic Beverages
- Comprehensive Permits for Low- or Moderate- Income Housing
- Sales and Use Tax Rates
We spoke with Burr and Joyce regarding Questions 1 & 2. You can find their opinions on Q2 here and Q3 here. You can find additional opinions including comments from Milton Board of Selectmen here.
