Spring sports sign-ups underway

Milton Travel Soccer and Babe Ruth Baseball signups are taking place now.

The final Babe Ruth Signup is this Tuesday, March 2nd. It will be held at Cunningham Hall (75 Edge Hill Rd) from 7:00 – 8:30pm.

There has been much controversy over Barbie’s new “Islamic look”.   This new look is composed of a Burka, the traditional Islamic dress with a mesh eye hole and a head-covering Muslim veil known as the Hijab.  While some people think this is a great idea, others feel is insulting.

Wildcats rock on, beat English 73-67

Down at the half, Milton’s defense stiffented in the final two quarters. Hutcherson and Marchman scored 7 points apiece in the final quarter and D.J. Santos had a big game scoring 26 points.

The Wildcats will face the number 3 seed Scituate in the sectional semifinal. Scituate prevailed over Wellesley 71-54. Milton will take on Scituate on 3/2 @ 7:00pm in Brockton. You can find the MIAA sectional playoff bracket here. You can find Boston Herald coverage of the game here.

Milton Hospital narrows losses in Q1

Senate quietly advances texting and driving measure

Legislation cracking down on texting while driving quietly inched closer to Gov. Deval Patrick’s desk Thursday.
