Fuller Village hosted a gathering last evening to inform the community about and voice their opposition to a proposed 40B residential development to be built across the street from their Brush Hill location. Senator Brian A. Joyce, Vice President of the Fuller Village Board of Directors, addressed ~150 neighbors, residents and town officials.

Fontbonne Academy’s National Honor Society Inducts New Members
Fontbonne Academy inducted 21 young women into its National Honor Society on November 20, as part of a celebration of the founding sister of the school, Mother St. John Fontbonne. The young women were given stoles with the NHS emblem on them and were treated, along with their families, to a reception following the service.

Dancing Deer Baking Co. among first to file as benefit corporation
A killer cookie company that got its start in Milton is the first firm to file as a benefit corporation. This came about as a provision that Senator Joyce added to a recent jobs bill. About the provision Joyce recently stated, “The benefit corporation designation is a cost-free tool that will promote economic development and bring considerable social and environmental improvements to the Commonwealth.” The Herald reports the story here.
