According to the Massachusetts State Lottery Facebook page, Eric William Cherry purchased the $20 “Billion Dollar Bonanza” ticket at the Tedeschi store on Houston Avenue in Milton. (Read the full story here.)

Criminal case dismissed after landlord pays for heat repair

hearts5Even Governor Patrick started his day with a Valentine smile. The Central-and-Eliot business district had been hearted overnight to celebrate the occasion, and local folks were greeted with Valentines everywhere. From small to huge, papier maché Valentines in red and pink, calico and modern hung from the trees that line the streets. A Valentine’s mobile shimmered in the breeze. One big Valentine created by Thacher Montessori School even has a dangly fringe of color-coordinated Valentine beads!

Bob Sweeney to run for re-election as Selectman

Bob resides at 156 Whittier Road with his wife, Gert, and eight year old daughter, Christina, who is a second grader in the Milton Public Schools. He is a lifelong Milton resident who grew up in East Milton on Governors Road. Bob is a graduate of Saint Agatha’s Grammar School and Milton High School.

Rebecca Olivieri of Milton is a junior at Fontbonne Academy and is what is called a “legacy” at Fontbonne, that is, her mother also attended the school. In addition to her mother, Alyse Zaccheo Olivieri, Rebecca’s aunt, Laurie Zaccheo Laub, is also a graduate. As well, Rebecca’s younger sister, Jessica, joined the ranks this year as a freshwoman.

Congressman Stephen F. Lynch (MA-8) recently announced the opening of a new district office in Quincy, Massachusetts. The new office is located at 1245 Hancock Street, Suite 16 and will be staffed Monday –Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. Lynch’s district now includes the City of Quincy and the towns of Weymouth, Hull, Cohasset, Scituate, Hingham, Abington, and parts of Raynham. (Note – his district also includes Milton. This will be the closest office.)
