Temple Shalom of Milton will hold an Open House for prospective members at the same time that it celebrates the conclusion of another successful Religious School year with a kosher barbecue and game day for the kids on Sunday, May 23rd, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
South Shore and Greater Boston area residents interested in Temple Shalom are invited to meet Education Director Nancy Mollitor and Temple officers, tour the building and learn about the Temple’s programs and activities, including the religious school, and enjoy some food, fun and games. Temple membership information will be available, and non-members who call in advance to attend the Open House will receive free tickets for services on the first day of Rosh Hashanah.
Temple Shalom is also accepting registrations to its Rabbi Jerome Weistrop Religious School, which meets on Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons, starting next September. The school has small class sizes and a very active and innovative curriculum, including unique holiday celebrations, pre-school-age Story Hour, Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes, and frequent family activities. The school is also involved in the Passport to Israel Program, which is designed to enable travel to Israel by participating teenage students. For religious school information, call the school office at 617-698-3395.
