Alexis Daly, an 8-year-old student at the Cunningham School in Milton, is competing in a national track event this weekend at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, N.Y. The Colgate Women’s Games is the nation’s largest amateur track series, bringing together more than 11,000 athletes in age divisions ranging from elementary school to 30-plus.
