- Students taking the SAT I/II tomorrow must bring two #2 pencils, their admission ticket, a photo ID, and a calculator. Students will be admitted to the building at 7:45 am. Please check your admission ticket for the test center; some MHS students may have been assigned to test sites other than MHS.
- Attention Seniors: Your caps and gowns are here! You will receive them at the senior breakfast but it’s important to pay for them as soon as possible. The price is $20 for the next 2 weeks. Please pay Ms. McDonough in Room 118 as soon as you can before the price goes up. Cash or check. Make checks payable to MHS.
- Senior Prom tickets will be on sale beginning Monday, May 5th before and after school in Ms. Diegoli’s room (116). The last day to buy tickets will be Friday, May 16th. Tickets are $50 per person.
- Scholastic Honors Night originally scheduled for Thursday, May 8 has been postponed. The new date is Wednesday, May 21. All students who have been invited are asked to advise your parents of this date change.
- Extra books??? The National Honor Society will be holding a Book Drive May 5 through May 9 (M-F). There will be a bin in the front office to drop off any new or used books. Donations will go to the children and mothers of St. Mary’s homeless shelter and their education center in Dorchester. Both children’s and adult books would be appreciated. Please see Mr. Cooper with any questions. Thank you.
- Uno Tournament Team Play: games #1-12 will be played again today. If you do not show, you will lose those possible points!
- Attention all Greece travelers: Please bring your photos to Ms. K. Kelley or Mr. Collyer by Tuesday. Remember to separate out your best 30 shots for inclusion in the slide show.
- The Poetry Club is having a mandatory meeting this Friday in Mr. Collyer’s room. We will be discussing elections and, of course, reading poetry! Please bring $10 if you ordered a DVD of the Jam. Seniors are especially encouraged to attend.
- Seniors: If you have Book Money Obligations, please see Mrs. Kelly in the main office with your checks as soon as possible. Seniors who owe money for books from Grade 9 through this year, must return the books or pay for them. No senior will be signed out if they have outstanding book fines. Also, for those of you who have Outstanding Library Obligations, you must see Mrs. Ronan at the Circulation Desk before school, Monday-Friday 7:40-7:50 am or after school Monday-Thursday 2:19-2:40.
- There are many new and different Community service opportunities described on Edline. Sign-up sheet in guidance for Special Olympics event to be held at Milton Academy on May 18. The New England Sinai Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton is seeking volunteers for an eight-week summer program which will take place from Monday, June 30 through Friday, August 22. Participants will be asked to volunteer a minimum of one weekday morning or afternoon per week.
- Library Notice: Students are taking AP Exams in the library from 7:50 am – 4 PM – Monday, May 5 – Friday, May 16. Students can borrow or return books 7:35-7:50 am.
- A Milton mom is looking for a mother’s helper 2 or 3 days a week and an occasional weekend. Three children 4 yr, 2 yr, and 3 months, Pleasant St. Stop in guidance for info.
- Students taking AP Exams are reminded that they must bring a #2 pencil and a ballpoint pen on the day of their test, and that cell phones are NOT allowed in the testing room. Students scheduled to take morning exams should report to the testing location by 7:45 and students taking an afternoon exam should eat at first lunch and report to the testing location by 11:45. Students who arrive late will NOT be allowed to sit for the exam. NO EXCEPTIONS. All students will report to the Library for testing except for the following: Computer Science and Music Theory. These will be in the Superintendent’s conference room (206). Students taking AP Exams are expected to attend school the full day, and will only be excused from classes missed which take place during their scheduled exam.
