News release from the Milton Police Department – updated @4:45.
Update (4:45pm) – The suspect in today’s arrest Jacqueline Scott, was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing in Quincy Court on May 29th.
Just after 3:00 am today Milton Police Communications received a series of 911 calls from residents of an apartment building located at 36 Eliot St. (Milton Hill House.)
The initial calls indicated that a resident on the third floor was “yelling for help.” Additional information revealed that an ambulance was needed.
First responding officers located a 63 year old male resident of the building shot, in the hallway. He was hit multiple times but was conscious and talking. The victim was removed by Fallon EMS to Boston Medical Center. He is in stable condition at this time.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the two are boyfriend and girlfriend. The incident appears domestic related. The female shot the victim while he was inside his apartment. She is identified as one Jacqueline E. Scott age 63 of Milton.
Two firearms were immediately recovered.
This crime scene is currently being held pending the issuance of a search warrant. MSP Crime Scene Services and Milton Detectives remain on scene at this time. The suspect was arrested and is currently being held at MPD pending arraignment by the Norfolk DA in Quincy District Court this afternoon. She is charged with:
- Assault with intent to Murder of a Person over 60 with a Firearm
- Discharge of a Firearm within 500 ft. of a Building
