How often do you get a chance to hear ten of New England’s finest singers performing on the same concert? On Saturday, May 16th at 7:00 you will have a chance to hear just that in a glorious FREE evening of opera, operetta, and musical theater favorites. “Sing For Their Supper” will take place at First Parish Church in Milton (535 Canton Avenue), and a free-will offering will be taken to support the Milton Food Pantry and the Milton Residents Fund.
This is the final concert of the season for Milton Community Concerts. Each singer featured will be donating their time and talents for this concert.
Featured singers on this program include Barbara Quintiliani (international opera prize winner), tenor Julius Ahn (Metropolitan Opera), sopranos Michelle Trainor and Deborah Selig (lead roles with Boston Lyric Opera), bass-baritone Ulysses Thomas (BLO), Sarah Heaton (Santa Fe Opera, Boston Baroque soloist), Portuguese tenor Marcos Santos (Carnegie Hall appearance, international career), Lucas Levy (Opera Theater of Saint Louis), and mezzo-soprano Holly Zagaria (New York Lyric Opera Theater favorite). Their will also be an appearance by Tamara Ryan, Emily Tweedy, and Grace Allendorf singing the Rodgers and Hart trio “Sing For Your Supper”. Pianist for this program will be Timothy Steele, music director and producer of Milton Community Concerts.

Barbara Quintiliani, soprano (the first American woman in 25 years to win First Prize in the Francisco Vinas Singing Competition in Barcelona. Also was grand prize winner in Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions, First Place winner of the Marian Anderson International Vocal Arts Competition. Has sung lead roles with Opera Boston, Chautauqua Opera, and Washington National Opera, among many others.
Julius Ahn, tenor (Recently sang at the Metropolitan Opera in THE MAGIC FLUTE and THE NOSE in 2014, has performed recently with San Francisco Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Seattle Opera, and many others. In 2014 won Best Actor award for the musical “Stuck Elevator” in the Bay area.
Sara Heaton, soprano (regular singer with Boston Baroque, also has sung with Opera Boston, Santa Fe Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, and recently at Symphony Hall with the Boston Symphony Youth Orchestra)
Michelle Trainor, soprano (currently a Boston Lyric Opera Emerging Artist, she has sung lead roles with BLO; also has sung at the Tuscia Opera Festival in Viterbo, Italy. Made her Carnegie Hall debut as a soloist in Mahler’s Eighth Symphony)
Marcos Santos, tenor (a native of Portugal, recently sang at Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall as Romeo in Gounod’s ROMEO ET JULIETTE; sings all over the world in concert and opera, including Tokyo, Lisbon, Madrid, Denmark and Sweden)
Deborah Selig, soprano (recently sang Pamina in Boston Lyric Opera’s MAGIC FLUTE; has also sung with Central City Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Kentucky Opera, and Cincinnati Opera, among others. She is heard frequently in concert and opera around Boston)
Jacquelyn Stucker, soprano (currently a doctoral candidate at New England Conservatory and Bard College Conservatory graduate; singing for Santa Fe Opera this coming summer)
Ulysses Thomas, bass-baritone (sings regularly with Boston Baroque and has sung lead roles with Boston Lyric Opera, including the Commendatore in DON GIOVANNI)
Lucas Levy, tenor (has sung extensively with Sarasota Opera, and was a Gerdine Young Artist at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis)
Holly Zagaria, mezzo-soprano (has sung numerous times in leading roles with New York Lyric Opera Theatre, as well as KomischeKammer Opera in Humbach, Germany. Is ofter heard in concerts throughout New England)
