AYLWARD, James M. 55, of Rockland, formerly of Milton, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 2. Jim was raised in Milton, graduated from Milton High School in 1978, and Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1983. He was a Vessel Manager at Moran Shipping Agency, Boston MA. Jim was dedicated to watching his children compete and achieve in athletics. He was affectionately known as “Video Dad” and as “Cheer Dad” for his involvement at their events. Jim was the beloved husband of Susan (Shea), devoted father of Colin and Samantha. Son of the late Mike and Lee Aylward of Milton. Brother of Michael Aylward and his wife Debbie of Milton, Joan Aylward of Milton, Glen Aylward and his wife Robyn of East Bridgewater, and the late Kevin Aylward. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Jim’s family welcomes friends and loved ones to celebrate his life on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in the Magoun-Biggins Funeral Home, 135 Union Street, ROCKLAND, MA from 4:00-7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 8. 2015 at 9:00 AM at the Holy Family Church in Rockland. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
