No bail ordered for man in Milton High gun incident

A 19-year-old Watertown man been ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing next Tuesday (March 31, 2015) after he tried to enter the premises of Milton High School March 25, allegedly while carrying a loaded pistol, drugs and vodka.
Jonathan Villagran, of Morse Street in Watertown, pled not guilty to carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a dangerous weapon on school grounds, possession of a firearm without a firearm identification card, disturbing a school, possession with intent to distribute a class D drug and possession of liquor by a person under age 21.
Defense attorney Richard Neely unsuccessfully asked Quincy District Court Judge Marybeth Heffernan to deny the Commonwealth’s motion that Villagran be held without bail pending the Tuesday dangerousness hearing.

During arraignment, Assistant District Attorney David Ringius told the court that the defendant had made multiple attempts to gain access to the building. The school principal interceded and delayed Villagran until police arrived. The responding officer is alleged to have located a bag apparently containing marijuana on his person and an open bottle of vodka and the pistol in a bag he was carrying.
