MHS Soccer: Boys varsity top Dedham 1-0

The Milton Wildcats boys varsity continued to improve on their record with a 1-0 win over Dedham yesterday.

Outside fullback Kevin Lamere scored the game’s only goal with an assist from freshman Roy Butlin. The Milton defense remained solid and goalkeeper Greg Corcoron notched his 3rd consecutive shutout.

This is the Wildcat’s 3rd consecutive win. They are unbeaten in their last 4 games. Their record is now 3-5-1 at the season’s halfway point.

Unfortunately, other Milton squads did not fare so well against Dedham. The girls varsity soccer team lost 6-1 (read Daily News Transcript coverage of that game here)and the girl varsity field hockey team fell 4-2.

While in Framingham the golf team lost 42-66.

Last Friday in football action Needham blanked Milton. You can find converage of the game from Wicked Local Needham here.

It is tough to attend many of these games as they are played in the afternoon; but this week there are two that will be at home under the lights at Brook Field. The girls varsity field hockey team will be taking on Wellesley tonight (Weds 9/30) at 7:00 and on Friday the girls varsity soccer team hosts Fontbonne Academy, also at 7:00pm. Get out there and show them some love, they deserve your support.
