On Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m., the Milton Public Library will host a creative writing workshop led by Julie Berry for local teens which was snowed out on February 9 and rescheduled to this new date in March. Young adult author Julie Berry will discuss storytelling and her new YA novel The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place just released this past fall. Julie will lead a discussion and read from her new novel at 6 p.m. in the Conference Room at the library. Julie will also host the library’s teen writing workshop, answer any questions, and have a book signing.
Julie Berry grew up in western New York and now lives in Maynard with her husband and four sons. She holds a BS from Rensselaer in communication and an MFA from Vermont College in writing for children and young adults. The Amaranth Enchantment (2009 Bloomsbury), a Junior Library Guild selection and Indie Next Top Ten pick, was Berry’s first book, followed by Secondhand Charm (2010 Bloomsbury) and the Splurch Academy for Disruptive Boys series of comic/graphic novels (2010 Grosset & Dunlap/Penguin Books for Young Readers).
