Snow-related injuries on the rise at local emergency rooms

The past several weeks of punishing winter weather is hurting more than morale.

Local emergency rooms and ambulance crews have been handling a spike in slips and falls, broken bones and sprains and severed fingers from snow blower accidents as South Shore residents dig out from the more than 8 feet of snow that’s fallen on much of the region since late last month.
