- Group Guidance: Freshmen in Group 9A will meet in the Library
- during Activity Period for their first session of Group Guidance today. Any Freshman who is unsure of their group number, please check the blue lists posted outside guidance and the Main Office. On Thursday, Freshmen in Group 9B will meet for their first session. Attendance will be taken. Please arrive promptly at 9:22.
- Colby College: A representative from Colby College will be in the Guidance Office at 2:20 today to answer questions any Milton High Seniors or Juniors have about Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
- Amnesty International: The first informational meeting of Amnesty International will be today after school in room 105. Come and learn how you can make a difference in the world. See Miss Derby with questions.
- Key Club: The Key Club will meet today at 2:30 in room 243 to finalize plans for Celebrate Milton.
- Future Business Leaders of America: The FBLA will hold its first meeting today in room 301 immediately after school.
- LifeSmarts: There will be a LifeSmarts meeting today, after school in room 307. LifeSmarts is a national, “Jeopardy” like tournament for high school students sponsored by the National Consumers League. All MHS students are invited to attend next Wednesday’s meeting to learn more about LifeSmarts. We need your help as we strive to qualify for the state and national tournaments.
- Fishing Club: The Fishing Club will hold its first meeting after school in room 218 today. New members are welcome!
- Mini Fair: On Thursday, Milton High will host the second Higher Education Visitation Day (or mini fair) for Juniors and Seniors. It will be held from 8:40 to 9:15. Students must have a pass signed by their B period teacher in order to attend. A list of the colleges that will be here is posted outside guidance.
- SAT: Thursday, October 1, is the last day to register for the November 7 SAT I/II. Milton High is a test center for this administration.
- Habitat for Humanity: There will be an informational meeting for all students interested in founding a Habitat for Humanity chapter at
- MHS. The meeting will take place at 2:30 on Thursday in Mr. Midura’s room (232). See Mr. Midura or Maureen Muse with questions.
- Debate Team: There will be a Debate Team meeting Thursday after school in room 212. We will continue working on our listening, arguing, and rebutting skills.
- Sewing Club: Sewing Club will meet on Thursday from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 243. Everyone is welcome.
- Ultimate Frisbee: Ultimate Frisbee will meet Thursday at 2:25 on the lower field to work on throwing and catching. There will be a scrimmage on Sunday at 1pm. All are welcome. See Miss Derby will questions.
- Senior Portraits: Attention Seniors- if you have not yet had your Senior portrait taken, the last day to have your picture taken is Sunday, October 4th starting at 9:00 a.m. Call Hayward photography to make an appointment.

- Community Service Opportunity: Celebrate Milton is being held on Saturday, October 3rd (Rain date: October 4th). Jobs include setting up tables, supervising younger students as they run the Green Monster Obstacle Course, helping to control a hot-air balloon and breaking down tables. Sign up in the Main Office. Any questions see Ms. Beech or Ms. Plonski.
