On Monday, February 9 at 6 p.m., the Milton Public Library will host a creative writing workshop led by Julie Berry for local teens. MILTON, MA: Young adult author Julie Berry will discuss storytelling and her new YA novel The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place just released this past fall. Julie will lead a discussion and read from her new novel at 6 p.m. in the Conference Room at the library. Julie will also host the library’s teen writing workshop, answer any questions, and have a book signing.
Julie Berry grew up in western New York and now lives in Maynard with her husband and four sons. She holds a BS from Rensselaer in communication and an MFA from Vermont College in writing for children and young adults. The Amaranth Enchantment (2009 Bloomsbury), a Junior Library Guild selection and Indie Next Top Ten pick, was Berry’s first book, followed by Secondhand Charm (2010 Bloomsbury) and the Splurch Academy for Disruptive Boys series of comic/graphic novels (2010 Grosset & Dunlap/Penguin Books for Young Readers).
