We were tipped off to this by the Milton Police Facebook page and would like to join them in congratulating Milton resident Haseeb Hosein on his promotion to Captain.

The Boston Police in their post state:

“Congratulations to recently promoted Captain Haseeb Hosein who received his new Captain’s shield earlier today (October 22, 2014) during a ceremony at Boston Police Headquarters. This promotion speaks to the promise both Mayor Walsh and Commissioner Evans made to diverisify the BPD’s Command Staff with Captain Hosein joining two other minority district commanders, Captain Alfredo Andres of District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) and Captain Kenneth Fong of District A-1 (Downtown). Hosein is a 26 year veteran of the Boston Police Department with his most recent assignment as a Lieutenant in District E-18 (Hyde Park). We wish Haseeb – who will be assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) – nothing but the best of success in his new position!”
