Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills to Host Open House

Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills, formerly Temples Shalom of Milton and Beth El of Quincy, will hold a Prospective Member Open House on Sunday, Sept. 21st , 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM at Pierce Middle School, 451 Central Avenue in Milton. All interested families in the South Shore and Greater Boston area are invited to attend, and can get more information by emailing office@BethShalomBlueHills.org or calling 617-698-3394.

New visitors who attend the Open House will receive complimentary seats for one High Holiday or Family service. Bring your children, who are welcome to join our Rosh Hashanah Program and/or Story Hour. Meet Rabbi Alfred Benjamin and Education Director Nancy Mollitor, learn about the congregation’s programs and activities, find out about our Special First Year Membership and Religious School rates, and view plans for our new building.

Congregation Beth Shalom is also accepting registrations to its Rabbi Jerome Weistrop Religious School, which meets on Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Under the leadership of Nancy Mollitor, the school has small class sizes and a very active and innovative curriculum, including unique holiday celebrations, monthly pre-school-age Story Hour, Family Learner’s Services, field trips, Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes, teenage discussion groups with Rabbi Benjamin, Jewish film appreciation, and Holiday Family Activity days. Congregation Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills is an egalitarian congregation which welcomes inter-married families.
