Summer is almost over, but there is always fun happening for kids at the Milton Public Library! In addition to our regular storytimes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, we have these exciting programs for the young people in your life happening during the week of August 17 – 23:
Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 2:30 – 3:30 pm
Milton Reads: Mystery Movie Marathon
Please join us for all or part of a smorgasbord of old and recent Sherlock Holmes movies. Screening starts at 9:30 AM and runs continuously until 8:00 PM. The films showing during this marathon that may be of interest to families are:
9:30 – 10:00 am: It’s a Mystery, Charlie Brown (1974) Starring the Peanuts cast. When Woodstock’s nest mysteriously disappears, Snoopy plays detective in order to find it.
3:00 – 4:20pm: The Great Mouse Detective (1986) Basil, the Rodent Sherlock Holmes, investigates the kidnapping of a toy maker and uncovers its link to his archenemy Professor Ratigan.
The films will be shown in the Keys Room on the lower level. For more information, call the Reference Desk at 617-698-5757.
