James Palmer of Milton, a veteran of the Army Rangers, participated along with his fiance Courtney Clayton (also of Milton) in the Run for Home Base. The Home Base program was started 5 years ago by Red Sox owner Tom Werner in association with MGH and New Balance. They work supports veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post traumatic stress disorders.
Mr. Palmer and Ms. Clayton were joined by Palmer’s cousin Diana Hooley as part of Team 375 in running the 9k race for the benefit of Home Base an organisation
designed to help returning veterans.
Palmer ran to honor 3 of his fellow Rangers who made the ultimate sacrifice during his deployments in Afghanistan.
