Last week we reported news about a couple of break-ins in Town. Today, because of the keen observation and action of a Courtland Circle resident, a suspect is in custody for breaking into homes on Granite Ave and Riverside Ave. The resident observed a man twice this morning in her neighborhood. On one occasion he entered the property of a resident and then ran from the home on foot. The resident became suspicious and called 911. MPD units arriving located the subjects car left unattended, parked on the wrong side of the road. Additional info was obtained that reported he had approached another home. Numerous officers began searching the area and within minutes, Officer Joe Fahey observed him coming from a yard on Granite Ave.
The subject fled from the officers into the Presidents Golf Course where he was surrounded and captured by responding officers. The subject has been charged with multiple felony counts and will be arraigned in Quincy District Court tomorrow. Once again we have a case that illustrates just how vital a role all residents play in the protection of our community. Very good job by all today!
