Tucker Elementary School French Immersion Teacher Shelagh Frossard was recently notified that she has been selected for the annual New Teacher Commendation for 2014. This award recognizes demonstrated excellence in foreign language teaching.
“This award is well-deserved. Shelagh has rapidly demonstrated her remarkable talent as a French and elementary teacher,” said Martine Fisher, World Language Department Head for Milton Public Schools. “Her young students benefit every day from her kindness, creativity and enthusiasm. She is an asset to the Tucker school and our district.”
Dr. Fisher also noted that Ms. Frossard is herself an alumni of the Milton Public Schools’ French Immersion program and was at one time a student of Dr. Fisher.
Ms. Frossard will receive the award from the Massachusetts Foreign Language Association at their annual fall Conference at the Business and Awards Luncheon that will take place on Saturday, October 25.
