MILTON FOUNDATION FOR EDUCATION
The Milton Foundation for Education is an independent, not-for-profit corporation, separate and distinct from the Milton Public Schools. The Foundation was established in 1995 to make possible innovative programs and opportunities that are beyond the reach of the school system’s budget. Foundation Trustees are people from the community who donate their time to help the Foundation achieve its goals. Please visit their web site here.
FRIENDS AND ADVOCATES OF MUSIC EDUCATION
Friends and Advocates of Music Education (FAME) will be kicking off the new school year with our first meeting on Tuesday, September 8th at 7:30 in the music suite at the High School. We will begin planning for upcoming events, including Celebrate Milton, concerts, Eastern District Auditions, etc. Membership is free, and all are welcome to attend any or all meetings, which occur the second Tuesday of each month. Please visit the food tent at Celebrate Milton (and bring a non-perishable food item for the Milton Food Pantry), as this is our biggest annual fundraiser. We provide scholarships to graduating seniors, buses to the music festivals, instrument upkeep, etc. as well as physical support at each of the music events. We help to keep music alive and outstanding in our public schools! If you would like to be on our e-mail list, or if you have any questions, contact co-presidents Karen Friedman-Hanna at kfhanna@rocketmail.com or Gayle Neville at gneville5@comcast.net.
