Come join Artspace Milton, the Mary M. B. Wakefield Charitable Trust, and Sustainable Milton in a creative celebration of love for Your Mother Earth.

Mayfest 2014 will provide families with an afternoon of live music, including Milton’s own Franc Graham Band, and art activities to exercise imaginations and demonstrate our appreciation for the wonderful world we live in.

The day will include a Maypole dance, create a Mother’s Day Crown for your Mother (or yourself!), enjoy environmental art installations, and tips and ideas for how to live lightly and reduce our impact on the environment.

Recycle Art Challenge: “Bag the plastic!” Make an art piece out of recycled materials and bring to be exhibited at the event. Prizes will be awarded!

The event will take place Saturday, May 10 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm on the stunning grounds of the Wakefield Estate at 1465 Brush Hill Road, Milton, MA. Mary “Polly” Wakefield was a lover of the natural world who believed it vital to “organize to re-establish the contact between the land and the people.”
