Free screening of “The Pin” at the Milton Library

Cong. Beth Shalom of the Blue Hills and the Boston Workmen’s Circle will co-sponsor a free screening of the 2013 Canadian film “The Pin” in the Keys Room of the Milton Public Library on Thursday, May 1st at 7:15 p.m.   The film is being shown in honor of Yom HaShoah/Holocaust Memorial Day, and it is free and open to the public, but seating is limited.  Doors open at 7:00 p.m., and a brief discussion will follow the film.

“The Pin” is a Yiddish film with English subtitles, written and directed by Naomi Jaye, and is rated R.  It is about two young Eastern Europeans who find love while hiding in a barn during WW II.  After a life of regret, the young man, now old, is faced with an opportunity for redemption.  The film has a 4-star IMDB rating.
