The Milton Public Library will be hosting local painter Therese Desmond in the Wotiz Gallery during the month of March, starting on the 2nd. An open reception with refreshments will also be held on Saturday, March 8th from 2 to 4 PM in the gallery. Ms. Desmond majored in art at the University of Massachusetts and earned her graduate degree in landscape design from the Conway School of Landscape Design. Her oil paintings evoke fanciful, colorful landscapes, often with a theme of the ocean. “A painting should be something you enjoy and that transports you to an imaginative whimsical place,” she says. Her painting is a creative outlet and hobby and she practices by seeing the changing colors in nature and by emulating the art and techniques of artists she admires. Therese presently works as Superintendent of the Milton Cemetery and lives in Milton. Please come and view this lovely display next month.
