The Milton Public Library invites you to attend a special showing of “The Town” on Thursday, March 13th, at 6:30 p.m., in the Keys Community Room (lower level) of the library, located at 476 Canton Avenue in Milton. This free event, sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Public Library, is open to the public. Films start promptly at 6:30.
“The Town,” a crime story about love, was co-written and directed by Ben Affleck, and adapted from the novel Prince of Thieves by Chuck Hogan, is set in Boston and stars Ben Affleck, John Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Jeremy Renner and Blake Lively. 2 hours, 31 minutes, 2010, rated R.
In this tense and wonderfully cast crime drama, Boston bank robber Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) falls for former hostage Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall). As the FBI pursues MacRay’s gang of career criminals from Charlestown, MacRay finds himself in conflict between the only family he has ever known, and the woman who sees him as someone other than a ruthless kidnapper. This heart-pounding drama never rests as MacRay wrestles with his past and decides his future.
