A group of rather energized STEM students provided a wake up call on WCVB recently. Please click “Read more” for a short clip. They were clearly up to the task.

There is a STEM Club for girls that was organized by a few of the Glover parents who chose the English/STEM first grade strand rather than the French immersion program. STEM is the acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The girls visited WCVB on Saturday, January 25 to learn about what a meteorologist does. The club goes on monthly parent-organized “field trips” to learn more about careers, jobs, and generally cool things in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The club has the support of the school administration but is strictly a parent run and financed initiative.
