What if Lincoln kept a diary during the Civil War? Historical suspense makes for an exciting page-turner in The Lincoln Letter. Popular author William Martin will talk about his new book on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013 from 7 to 8 pm. in the Keys Community Room (lower level) of the Milton Library, 476 Canton Avenue in Milton.
The event, sponsored by the Friends of the Milton Library, is free and open to the public. “What an irresistible combination, a sparkling mystery, intriguing characters, and lively history. I am a huge William Martin fan, but The Lincoln Letter is my absolute favorite,” wrote Doris Kearns Goodwin, Pulitzer Prize–winning author of Team of Rivals.
After his talk, Mr. Martin will autograph copies of The Lincoln Letter. He is the award- winning New York Times best selling author of ten novels, and wrote and narrated the PBS documentary: “American Experience: George Washington: The Man Who Wouldn’t Be King.” Visit Mr. Martin’s website: http://www.williammartinbooks.com.
