Sargent’s Watercolors Will Inspire Adult Art Class

Beginning and advance art students may register for the Adult Painting Class offered by Beth Neville. Both watercolor and oil techniques will be explored in her Milton art studio for eight weeks starting Tuesday, October 1, from 7 to 9 p.m. Beginning students learn basic art principles such as mixing paints, composition, and perspective. Advanced students develop their own special style and original viewpoint.
The watercolors and oils of John Singer Sargent will be a special inspiration for Neville’s art classes. Sargent’s watercolors will be on exhibit at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston from October 13 to January 20 and a field trip to see his art is planned as part of the class.
Neville has taught art for many years. She holds a BA Smith College and a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. The fee for the classes is $100. Students bring their own art supplies. To register phone Neville at 617-698-6112 or visit the web site www.adultclasses.nevilleart.com/
