2nd Case Of West Nile Virus Case In Mass.

The Milton Board of Health recently sent out a notice regarding preventive steps to take regarding mosquitoes, carriers of West Nile and Eastern equine encephalitis. You can find the post regarding their recommendations here. Those recommendations should be taken seriously, A 2nd case of West Nile virus was reported.

“It’s clear that the threat of mosquito-borne illness is present throughout the Commonwealth,” said DPH State Public Health Veterinarian Dr. Catherine Brown. “It’s critically important that people across the state take steps to protect themselves against mosquito bites – especially with the warm temperatures and outdoor activities planned for this long Labor Day Weekend.”  You can find related news story from the Boston Herald here.
