The Milton Public Library will host an exhibit by local baby photographer Jessica McDaniel in the Wotiz Gallery during the month of August 2013. Ms. McDaniel started her business called “Boston Baby Photos” in May 2003, and now, 1,393 photoshoots later, she is approaching her ten year anniversary as a baby photographer.
She grew up in Milton and has lived here with her husband and daughters for the last 6 years. She normally does 160-180 photoshoots per year, and although her focus is on black and white photography, all of her hundreds of clients grow and change, so her work often also tells a story of family, of relationships. It’s not just chubby babies with cute fat toes – she focuses on expression, on moments. Jessica has exhibited at the Junior League of Boston’s Decorators Show House when it was held at Prouse Farm in Canton, at the Wellesley Center Starbucks, at the Newton Wellesley Hospital, at a show house in Abington, and at Milton Pediatrics.
You may visit her website at www.bostonbabyphotos.com. Please come and view this fun exhibit. The Milton Public Library is located at 476 Canton Avenue and there will be a free and open reception held on Tuesday, August 6th from 4-6 PM. For more information about displaying art at the library, contact Jean Hlady, Adult Services Librarian, at (617) 698-5757.”
