Dr. Sheila Kukstis to take the helm as Glover School Principal

Screen Shot 2013-06-21 at 7.57.37 AMDr. Sheila Kukstis, previously Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Boston, has been hired as principal of Glover Elementary School.

As Assistant Superintendent of Schools for the Archdioicese of Boston, Dr. Kukstis, provided leadership to more than 41,000 students in 121 schools. Her experiences also includes principalships of the Joseph C. Chamberlain School in Taunton, St. Jerome School in Weymouth and St. Andrew the Apostle School in Jamaica Plain.

“After a thorough search for a new Glover principal, the search committee is pleased to have selected Sheila Kukstus,” said Jerry Vitti, a Glover parent and member of the screening committee. “She brings a wealth of experience, high energy, and great enthusiasm to her work. We are excited for the entire Glover community – teachers, parents, and especially children who will benefit from her dynamic leadership for many years to come.”

Dr. Kukstis starts at Glover on July 1, 2013.

“As always, my priority is the education of each student in the Milton Public Schools,” said Mary Gormley, Superintendent of Milton Public Schools. “I am certain that Dr. Kukstis’ talents and experience will assure the continuation of the outstanding educational experience offered to each student in the Glover Elementary School.”
