The rain began to fall lightly as the runners left the starting line at yesterday’s running of Milton’s largest road race organized by The Milton Junior Womans Club. And then it began to rain harder . . . and harder, until runners were hurdling puddles and running through streams created by the runoff from the downpour. But they didn’t care. They just ran.
There are actually two races – a 5K and a 10K. 166 runners ran the 10K and 307 ran the 5K. The finish of the women’s 10K was a bit of a nail biter. The top finishers were:
