Fifty years ago, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 of each year Peace Officers Memorial Day in honor of federal, state, and municipal officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. Today, begins National Police Memorial Week.

This week, we will share with you the story of some of the men and woman who sacrificed their lives in defense of our freedom.
