The Dorchester Reporter has an article on Governor Patrick’s tax hikes and notes that funding for completion of the Neponset Greenway is included. The article pegs the cost at $1.68 million and would fund completion of missing sections. “The three missing sections would add 4.2 miles to the 4.7 miles that already exist. The missing sections include a stretch between Mattapan MBTA Station and Central Ave.; a piece that runs by the gas tank off Dorchester Bay from Morrissey Boulevard and Tenean Beach; and a small section in Hyde Park near the Neponset Valley Parkway.” You can find the full article here.
The DCR path is also on the agenda of this evening’s Conservation Commission meeting. That meeting will be held in the Blute conference room this evening (3/12) at 7:00PM.
