Staff at the Milton Public Library will teach a workshop introducing library patrons to the library’s ebook services at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15.
“Ereaders are a very popular gift this holiday season,” said Emily Calkins, the library’s Young Adult Librarian. Ms. Calkins will lead the workshop. “Many people don’t realize that the library offers ebooks for checkout, so this is an opportunity for all those people who received ereaders for Christmas to get an overview of the ebook services we offer.”
Milton Library cardholders have access to two free ebook services, Overdrive and Freading. The workshop will explain the differences between the services. Combined, the services offer Milton Library patrons access to more than 20,000 downloadable titles. The workshop will also cover to search for and download ebooks from both sites. Whether you own a device already or thinking of buying one, this workshop will provide useful information.
Workshop attendees are encouraged to bring laptops and ereaders if they have them. The Library is located at 476 Canton Ave., Milton, MA 02186. For more information about this program or library ebooks, please contact Emily Calkins at ecalkins@ocln.org.
