The Color of Paradise will be the next film within the theme “Insight into Iran” in this season’s Winter Movie Series of Temple Shalom of Milton, co-sponsored this year by the First Congregational Church and First Parish Church. The public is invited. The Color of Paradise is scheduled for Saturday evening, January 12th at 7:00 p.m., with doors opening at 6:45. The film will be screened in Huntington Hall of the First Congregational Church, 495 Canton Avenue, with entry at the rear door.
The Color of Paradise is a fable of a child’s innocence and a complex look at faith and humanity. Visually magnificent and wrenchingly moving, the film tells the story of an 8-year-old boy whose inability to see the world only enhances his ability to feel its powerful forces. It is rated PG and is in Farsi with English subtitles.
The donation for admission is $3.00 per person, or two for $5.00. Advance reservations get a free popcorn or bottle of water. The last film in the series, “A Separation,” will be screened on Feb. 9th.
