The Milton Police posted the following comment on their Facebook page:
Tonight, our thoughts and prayers go out to the familes and citizens of Newtown Conn. For them, this morning began just as it did for each of us. It ended in a manner that no one will ever forget. The men and women of the MPD realize every day how complex society is, but this atrocity extends beyond words. Please keep the victims in your prayers and take a moment to hug and love your own children. We also ask that you keep remember the Newtown police officers and investigators, all parents themselves, who will spend tonight processing the most unimaginable of crime scenes…
