James Sullivan was Milton’s first Executive Secretary. He served from 1966 to 1968 before moving on to become the Town Manager in Cambridge. He had come to Milton from Watertown, Connecticut where he also had the distinction of being their first Town Manager. The screening committee there determined him to have the “perfect temperament” for the rigors of town government. You can find his full obituary here.
