News release from Temple Shalom
Temple Shalom of Milton will hold its annual Fall Open House on Sunday, September 16th, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Temple’s interim religious school site at the Pierce Middle School, 451 Central Avenue. All interested families in the South Shore and Greater Boston area are invited to attend.
Visitors will get to meet Rabbi Alfred Benjamin and Education Director Nancy Mollitor, learn about the Temple’s programs and activities, and enjoy some refreshments. Temple membership information will also be available. New visitors who call ahead and attend the Open House may receive complimentary seats for one High Holiday service.
Temple Shalom is also accepting registrations to its Rabbi Jerome Weistrop Religious School, which meets on Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. Under the leadership of Education Director Nancy Mollitor, the school has small class sizes and a very active and innovative curriculum, including unique holiday celebrations, pre-school-age Story Hour, Family Learner’s services, field trips, Bar/Bat Mitzvah classes, teenage discussion groups with Rabbi Benjamin, Jewish film appreciation, and Holiday Family Activity days. Temple Shalom is an egalitarian congregation which welcomes inter-married families.
