About the Lecture:

Robin Tagliaferri, Executive Director of Forbes House Museum in Milton, MA, presents short stories of the Forbes and Perkins families of Milton/Boston and their participation in the American China Trade. How does a historic house museum bring such stories to life, and how are they woven together to provide visitors a unique and lively experience? This lecture explores these topics through the prism of an entrepreneurial, civic-minded, and colorful family, prolific in writing their personal memoirs. The lecture explores the 1833 Greek revival mansion and artifacts and works of art that now comprise the museum’s collection.
