Legion playoffs: Milton would like to forget lopsided loss

The first round of the American Legion District 6 Sections playoffs Milton Post 114 would lose to a tough New Bedford Post 1 team 11-1. The game was originally scheduled  for Sunday, but the Adams Field was unplayable because of the recent rains. New Bedford jumped out to an early lead, 4-0 in the third inning and never looked back. The game would be called in favor of New Bedford under the slaughter rule in the fifth inning giving  them the win 11-1.
