Notice: Shooting on Belvoir Road

News release from the Milton Police Department

At approximately 6 pm tonight, Milton Police Communications received multiple 911 calls reporting a disturbance on Belvoir Road. First responding units were informed that two subjects had just fled  inside a dark-colored sedan with tinted windows  possibly a Nissan or a Honda. These men had fired several shots at the victim. Preliminary investigation revealed that these men had been inside of #19 Belvoir Rd on the second floor. They were admitted inside by the victim,  a 26-year-old Milton resident who resides there. Inside it appears that the suspects tried to rob the man. He fled the home away from the suspects  into the street. Once outside, several shots were fired by the assailants.

The victim is well-known to Milton, Randolph and Boston Police. Witnesses identified him being present.  The subject was uncooperative and attempted to elude responding officers and leave the scene. During this encounter Milton officers discovered he had been shot in the abdomen.  He was taken to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. The crime scene remains active.  The department is grateful to the many residents who called police tonight.  There may be a nexus between victim and suspects in this case.  Milton Police Detectives are interested in this dark-colored sedan that fled.  The registration number may have  a “9” and  a “3”  on the plate.

Anyone with information on this case can call 617-698-COPS.
