The Forbes House Museum hosted a Derby Day fundraiser last Saturday at Prowse Farm and not all the thunder or all the rain was going to dampen the spirits of those who attended.
The event, what many hoped was only the first Captain’s Cup Derby Day Party, included a race of trotters, music from the MHS Jazz Combo, food from area restaurants and merchants and live feed of the Derby, and a hat contest.
The event was emceed and organized my Forbes board member Charlie Truslow and there seemed to be no obstacle he could not hurdle. The result was a wonderful time.
